between 1000-1300 usd. Thank you borderline, I have been trying to find the right place but no luck. the Fat yogi is one of my options, its not rated the best but I guess if I stay in the new rooms it shouldnt be that bad. At the same time, since I will be for the entire month, a kitchen will be necesseary no? otherwise I will be spending to much money on restaurants. It my first time in Bali, so dont know a lot of it. I appreciate your help.

you can always eat street food or from not so expensive warungs. i think you will have problems finding a room with kitchen within your budget. maybe poopies lane might be a good place to search. i know the beatmag used to have some economy listings , give that a google, i think its beatmag.com though

Please! don't go to Bali and spend a whole month in Kuta :( Especially if you have never been there before!
OK, if you must stay in Kuta and you are looking for cheaper accommodation, go a few streets back from the beach and down small lanes. You will find something in your budget.
But please get out of the horrible Kuta and see something of Bali. You have a whole month, plenty of time to be a free spirit and explore the island. There are parties to be had in other places too.
You might also want to travel across to the small islands off Lombok, like Gili T.

check out panorama 2 at legian. quiet, well maintained large grounds, swimming pool, restaurant.

right in the centre of 'action'. 500m to the beach. a 1 bed self contained villa/house should be around 5/6 million (us600) for the month.

i acknowledge and concur with bele. see bali, not touristville. never the less, i'd still negotiate a permanent base in your desired area, and radiate from it.

your accommodation budget would allow for this plus side trips.
