As one travels around the island of Bali besides seeing the stunning and varied temple structures you will inevitably notice the many statues erected in towns and small villages. It appears as though Bali has this penchant for statues! This is extremely noticeable if you visit the town of Tabanan north-west of Kuta. There seems to be a statue at every traffic intersection. As an Indian Travelleryou arrive at the Airport and take taxi to the hotel. I stayed at Novotel Nusa dua and was coming to Seminyak for Indian food. The food is not very great and its better you manage it in Nusa Dua. One word of advice shop on your own and bargain prices starting at 1/3 of the quoted costs. There is a good chance that the deal may be sealed.Local Food is very good especially Indonesian rice variety.Beware of the priests in mother temple and say you donot need a guide and have come to pray and not to sightsee.Wearing a sarong (Lungi Like) is compulsory to enter the temples.Alays carry water with you as water in tap is not potable. You will love the Beaches of bali and the activiites with the sea.
