Buying Baby Clothes in Bali

It's not very often I get stumped by a question about Bali, but, a friend of mine rang me the other night who is in the family way and asked if I knew any shops in Bali that were great for purchasing baby clothes.

As I don't have any paternal instincts and the subject of babies and clothes is beyond me, it never occurred to me that there would be some shops selling the appropriate gooods.

If anybody out there in 'BaliBlog forum land' has any ideas it sure would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try Matahari at the Mal Bali Galeria, big selection of baby clothes. Also go to jalan raya Kerobokan, there are about 8 shops in that area selling wonderful childrens toys and clothes. After Geneva handicraft shop and before cafe warisan.

Definitely Matahari. Largest range seems to be in Denpasar. Try Indigo Kids too.

I recently purchased a stack of baby clothes from upstairs in Hardy's Sanur. They were simple clothes, the quality of the fabrics was beautiful, and they were so cheap. They also have a great range of booties, hats, everything you might need for a baby.

You might try Clandy Grosir in Jl. Cargo which is off Jl. Gatso. They have everything for baby there and very inexpensive, particularly on the first floor (which becomes the second floor if you are Indonesian as their first floor is our ground floor).
