came across this in the Bali Daily. http://www.thejakartapost.com/bali-daily/2012-11-05/tasting-freshness-gubug-ibad-fish-head-soup.html

my taste buds went into overdrive.

anyone eaten here? any similar places?

makes you think - jimbaran, kedonganan have a huge rep for seafood. it's overwhelmingly bakar or goreng, probably aimed at the perceived western palate.

anyone know where you can get down and dirty on a local version of bouillabaisse? a seafood rissotto?

    Hi Shorty,
Cafe Jemme Jl. Petitenget, one of my favourites, have 3 risottos on their menu but I don't recall if any of them are seafood. They also feature a very classy roast. A choice of 3 last week had all the wanted trimmings such as mini roasted parsnips, carrots & beet plus gravy and horseradish sauce. Rp225,000 for 2.
Ps. I am not on commission
