Hello! Just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much cheap hostels or hotels cost in Bali and th Gilis, both in the touristy towns like Ubud and Kuta, and more remote places like Lovina and Candidasa? Also, are they usually easy to find, and can you haggle??!
    Recommendations would be even better!

Bali-- all sorts of ratings and can be booked via Travel Forums such as travel
adviser . Around Kuta the lower end of the scale you can rock up and walk and talk
    with other intrepid travellers.
Gili's booking ahead is safer ( don't forget you have to book a boat as well. The Gili Island has a common travel booking site. Candidasa you could safely rock up and get a good clean room.
I haven't been to Lovina for a while so I'm not sure
hope it helps , some of the other bloggers will I'm sure
have some well travelled tips , Have fun

I can only say this: do not go to Panorama Cottages II (in KUTA!!): Too dirty, full of rats, the electricity does not work if you load a handphone or other, and there are black out, and the owner is very ugly!!

In Poppies 1 there are a few depends on how much you want to pay. Masa Inn is fantastic have a look at their website. It will cost you about $28 per room per night. If you want something cheaper try Mimpi Bungalows they do not have a website but nice place very basic but clean about $25 other then that Ayu Beach Inn near Masa is cheaper but very basic and the pool is not that great. Hope this helps have fun :-)
