internet problems

   just would like to know for anyone living in bali that has speedy internet . are you having any problems with it or is it just me. im living and working in the seminyak area and it starting to real p me off. also is there any other intern providers that is better than speedy pls let me know

   Hi Rhys, I too have dealt with "speedy" and had nothing but problems. I have since changed to XL Unlimited with an USB modem. Although it is not particularly fast, it is more reliable and only costs Rp100k per month. Download speeds vary between 50kbps to 150kbps depending on the time of day and amount of traffic. These speeds are fine for everyday web surfing but no good if you doing bulk downloads.

   yeah the a pain i try to use it fro business so im downloading and uploading heap of photo for the web site and the problem is at my office i dnt have gd xl signal, but thanks for the info it's gd to knw im not the only one having problems. though it was my computer for a while but thank gd it not. I been told about biznet but there really expensive.

   heard several complaints but frankly i dont know of 1 ISP that doesnt have its own problems. i f you go to http://www.channel-11.net/ there is a banner adverising a good sounding deal 200 - 9oo rp depending on speed but when i tried i got a silly quote from them . i kept meaning to try again but got side tracked
