I am looking for a house to rent in a quiet area with internet access preferably in canggu, kerobokan, lovina but will consider all areas. Prefer around 25 million a year but will consider increasing budget for the right house.

I looked into the Bali Advertiser and contacted a few of them. However, 2 were scams!! Posing as missionaries. Don't ever send money via Western Union! There's obviously some legimate advertisers, but be careful.

Thanks for the heads up but I've been here a couple of years already so pretty aware of the possibility of scams.

Hi, if you cant find a house with internet access (I think this is rare), then do what we did and go to Indosat (near Airport) and purchase a small portable satellite modem, we pay about 380,000 per month for 1.2G, but that was with a free modem worth 1.2mil, it's great as you can then take it with you if you move.
P.s. Do you want furnished or unfurnished as we have a unfurnished house in UbudPosted 3 years ago # -
Thanks for the information. That is really helpful.
We are actually looking for furnished at the moment but thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

One of the better internet services is Flash from Telkomsel. Its all prepaid and in an area of wireless HSDPA coverage is the fattest pipe on Bali. In areas where there is no HSDPA coverage it downgrades to 3G, and where no 3G it downgrades to GMS or GPRS. Best to check the place you live is covered.
If the villa has a phone line, then probably Telkom Speedy is available. Its fixed ADSL service, which should be 500 kb or higher, but in reality will max out at around 150 kb on Bali.
