Long term decision requires great thought and research. I doubt you have done much of either. Sorry to be blunt, but a simple Google search on Indonesian work visa will show the difficulties in obtaining one. Also, to bring your dog to Bali, do you understand Bali is suffering a huge rabies problem?

Yes I do realise this that is why i am not taking this decision lightly. I am just needing some advice on the best visa option as I am able to obtain any as I have sponsors arranged as well as work arranged. And the visa options are doing my head in. If you have any other ideas let me know.

your profile says you're in Oz. check this site...

you've work and sponsors arranged. seems to me it's straight forward - the Limited Stay Visa.
why not give the Consulate a call and talk about it?
from the Bali end. if you've a job and a sponsor ask your future employer to recommend an immigration agent to handle the matter. get them (the employer) to start/get the ball rolling. they're the ones providing the guarantees.
re the pooch and the rabies thing....there's a ban on importing dogs.

Your initial post reads like you are asking about work. But then you say you have work arranged.
If you have work arranged I don't see what the confusion is about visas. There is no choice or options.
A legitimate employer will arrange the visa for you. If you have a working visa (which is the ONLY option if you are going to do paid employment) then the visa cannot be arranged by you. It MUST be arranged and paid for by your employer.
A simple google search, or question to anyone living in Bali, will tell you that you cannot bring your dog, and you wouldn't want to anyway if you care for your dog.
Before making any long term decisions, go to Bali and live there for 6 months. Network and get some idea about what is involved, and see if the reality of living in a developing country is not too different from being on holiday there for you. Then you will be in a better position to decide.

Thanks for the info shorty.
I have been told that I have to organise the 6 month Visa so i am glad that Bele says employer can arrange it. But I am trying to get there for 6 months and I will continue to do this for a couple of years before I make the big move. I wanted to be there mid 2012 but think I will work first there for a few contracts before making the big move.
Hopefully the work does not fall thru due to visa costs.
thanks for the infoPosted 1 year ago # -
working on business visas are very restrictive , you may consulyt or advise but may not be paid, caught doing otherwise will be your way of saying bye bye bali. to work here on a paying correct basis requires permission, paymment of tax to the government of 1200 dollars a year, kitas and IMTA. dont be fooled by employers who are not willing to commit to less
