Nothing is worth a 25 hour drive from Kuta!
Haven't done the hike myself (bad knee) but the drive (or hike) alone to Pura Besakih is well worth it, especially in the mornings, when there is less cloud cover. From the temple one can see the ocean on 3 sides, which is amazing because it makes Bali seem so small.
