'Aghast' I hear all those smokers say in regards to plans to stop smoking in public places on the island. Will it put a dent in tourist numbers? NO. Will tourists adhere to the rule if it is enforced? NO.

    Here's the article: http://www.balidiscovery.com/messages/message.asp?Id=6798

What is your opinion on this proposed new ruling?

It's a growing trend. Try lighting up in a restaurant or office in, say, Vancouver, New York, Hong Kong, or Taipei. Non-smokers increasingly rule! I was in China recently and was so very not used to leaving a restaurant stinking of smoke.

    Hi Ripeha,

I'm here in Perth at the moment and they have virtually banned smoking in the city centre.
